Contentteller has full support for EU/EEA cookie management and is unlike other solutions less annoying. Rather then showing a cookie pop-up, Contentteller will show a small notice where visitors from the European Union and European Economic Area can enabled cookies.

Contentteller is fully operable without cookies. The system is using in this case a session system with session hashes. However, user need to login every time after they revisiting the website.

Once the users has consent to the user of cookies, this consent will be stored with exact time in the database and cookies support become available. Users can revoke the cookie consent anytime with an option login menu.

You can also combine the cookie status with the place holders of the template engine. Allowing specific advertisement for users who have given cookie consent. Don't forgot to add every third party service to your privacy policy.

Contentteller comes has various account options to provide GDPR compliance to your website. Users can download account information or delete their account.

Users can download their account information in a machine readable XML format. This includes username, email, registration date, last login, IP addresses, browser signatures, and optional fields such as first name, surname, company, address, phone, fax, and birthday. 

There is also an optional option where you can allow a user to download it's entire publish content from your website, including private messages, ratings, comments, posts etc.

Users can delete their user account. In this case, all public postings will be anonymized in order to keep existing posting in context.

Contentteller is not embedding external content delivery networks or other third party sites by default. All default content of your Contentteller installation is served from your server.

This includes all Javascripts like jQuery and plugins,  CSS stylesheets like Bootstrap, but also all included fonts. Contentteller respects the privacy of your users and will not submit any data blindly to some third party service. 

This includes also the antispam database which process all data locally on your server and is not submitting IP addresses or emails for verification to other servers.

Contentteller has also an optional two-click option for embedded media such as YouTube or Vimeo. In this case the media will be only loaded if the user has agreeing to that.
