1) Always backup (files + database) before upgrading to a new version
2) Upload only the changed files. For a change log see the release notes of each release: http://www.esselbach.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?forumid=2

Is there anything in particular one needs to do to upgrade an existing Esselbach Storyteller CMS Standard installation?

As a suggestion, you might think about identifying the zip files perhaps by incorporating the version number in the name.

Wow, that was fast. Way to go, Phillip!
So, how does one download the 1.3.1 version? When I go to the member's area it looks like the only Storyteller CMS Standard download (storyteller-standard.zip) is the same one I already have.
Thanks,
B.

Currently when using the template editor built in to the administration console, clicking on the "Send" button saves the template and immediately takes you to a message indicating you're done.
I have a couple of suggestions.
1) Prepend the "done message" to the top of the listing of templates (maybe it could read something like "Template last saved: xxxx" or similar)
2) Add a second button next to "Send" that saves the template and then returns you to that same template editing page. This would enable those people who use the template editor along with a 2nd browser window to quickly check the results via a refresh to more easily and rapidly implement multiple changes in a template.
Still loving the system!
:-)
