Storyteller CMS 1.7 released

Esselbach Storyteller CMS 1.7 has been released to the members area

What's new in 1.7:

Enhanced Instant Styles

Instant Styles comes now with a set of premade themes. The template manager has been also enhanced.

Subcategories

The news, download, faq, and review modules support now subcategories

Stories Startdate

The start date of each story can be set.

Enhanced Teaser Image Preview

A preview of each image will be display beside the teaser list

Updated WYSIWYG Editor

The htmlArea3 WYSIWYG editor has been updated to the latest release. This update fix also the extended news bug.

MySQL Database Cache

A new caching method has been added. MySQL Database Cache will keep the Storyteller html cache in the MySQL database. This is useful on configurations with separate database server or servers with permission issues.

Moderator Options

Moderator options are now available on the forum

New Forum Posts

New posts since last visit will be marked red for logged users.

New Status Line

The login status line has been improved. You can see there now how many new stories, threads, or private messages are new since last visit. This feature works also with 3rd party forum applications through the bbwrapper modules.

Updating from older version

There are new directories and files in this release:
/templates/original (You need to chmod this directory to 777)
/templates/original/default (contains the original default templates - do not change the files in this directory)
/templates/original/themes (Instant Styles themes)
/templates/original/themes/preview (preview images for each theme)
/images/teaser/black_image.png (teaser blank image)

You no longer need to upload new templates to the template directory. The update script will take care of this. Basically, it compares your template directory against the new templates in templates/original

BBWrapper Users
The bbwrapper modules has been updated to support the new status line. Please reupload the latest version. The older bbwrapper.php modules are no longer working in 1.7
