Search Engine Optimization & Story Teller

Hi Philipp, just wanted to ask you if you would think about some way of making story teller more capable toward search engine optimization such as being able to specify specific keywords in the meta tags for individual pages instead of having only a global keywords list which is used on every page generated from story teller.

The title & description meta-tag in the html header are also important for a page's SEO rankings for a particular page. Currently with story teller, if a particular page is crawled by a search engine spider which does not contain some of the global keywords defined in the story teller website configuration, then the search engine may penalyze the website being crawled because it thinks that the webmaster is spamming the search engine with keywords contained in the keyword meta-tag which don't exist in the pages actual content.

Just a thought. Smiling Face

Hi hoochman,
Thanks for your suggestions. This and much more are already on the do list for the 2.0 content module.

Other parts of the CMS including the news section are already generating meta-tags. The 1.x page/content module was originally designed to handle only a few pages such as “terms of use” or the “about us” page.
