How to remove huge tags list from news module in admincp when adding story?

I assume you have the option "Generate automated tags" in News Preferences enabled? The CMS is generating automatically tags if this option is enabled. This result in many tags if you import a large news database over the acquire module.

I would disable this option before running acquire. Alternative, you can remove all existing tags in your current database by running the following query in phpMyAdmin:
 DELETE FROM esselbach_ct_newstags


If you are using a database prefix you need to add that prefix before esselbach_ct_newstags
