Questions Before I Buy
Should be no problem. You can always open a trouble ticket if the import script need some adjustments.
The beta is currently planned for Q3/2006.
I have over 2500 articles - on a flat txt DB - which obviously is server intensive. I need some PHP based.

Also when do you think 2.0 will be coming out?

FYI: I upgraded from Coranto, and it was pretty painless. I had about 2500 items in my old Coranto db too. Everything converted over without a hitch.

No, it is currently (version 1.8.2) only possible to have only one template set per website. However, support for multiple template sets is included in the upcoming version 2.0 of the CMS.
How many stories are in the database?
Yes, you can manage up to 99 websites from the same admin control panel. The $99 license is coming with 3 domain licenses. Additional domain licenses are $18/domain.
Yes
No, but you can use mod_rewrite (an Apache module) to rewriting the URLs. For example it is possible to turn story.php?id=2198 into story2198.html. More mod_rewrite examples are in this thread: http://www.esselbach.com/thread.php?id=320
1) My site has multiple sections with different templates. Would I be able to create articles to the multiple templates?

2) My Coranto database is quite large, would there be a problem importing it?

4) Since I am the only one who puts the articles up, am I able to control what user profile I put the article into from my admin account?
Yes
5) Does the CMS create static pages, which makes it easier for search engines to record?

Hi,
I am kicking the tires to get a new CMS. Currently I use Coranto and frankly, it's pretty outdated and I don't get a lot of support. Now I came upon your product and would be interested but I have questions.
1) My site has multiple sections with different templates. Would I be able to create articles to the multiple templates?
2) My Coranto database is quite large, would there be a problem importing it?
3) I have other sites on other servers, would I be able to use the one cms for all the sites?
4} Since I am the only one who puts the articles up, am I able to control what user profile I put the article into from my admin account?
5) Does the CMS create static pages, which makes it easier for search engines to record?
That's it for now and thanks for your help. If you need to take a look at the site to see what I am talking about, it's www.nysportsday.com.
Thanks,
Joe
