G'Day Philipp,
Yes it was on, I have turned it off and can now edit the templates without losing the changes.
Thanks for your help, all I have to do now is work out how to make the actual changes and to which bits.
I have read the previous post of your re changing the css and the header & footer to change the page look so I will now experiment.
Regards
Brent

Is the enhanced editor enabled? You can enabled/disabled the enhanced editor under "Templates Preferences" (the last option in the Templates menu).

Now I have upgraded but still no joy
G'Day Philipp, I have upgraded to 2.0.3 by ftping the files and running the cupgrade.php file.
No errors were reported but I am still unable to edit the templates. It is interesting that the mysql database has the template saved but the changed template is not saved to the _ct_templates, in fact the template_html field is empty.
Clicking on the restore button does restore the original template.
Do you have a suggestion for me?
Regards

Are you using the enhanced editor? 1.0.0 RC2 is a pretty old release. You may want to upgrade to 2.0.3 after there are many bug fixes and enhancements.
I am trouble with editing the templates. When I make a change and save it the backup is saved but the changes are not, the page refreshes to show a blank for the html part.
I thought it might have been an issue with the version I was using so I upgraded but I still have the same problem.
I am using Contentteller Community Edition 1.0.0 RC2
with PHP version 5.2.6 (apache2handler) and MySQL 5.0.51a-community.
Does anyone have a suggestion? What am I doing or have set up wrong?
Regards
Brent
