Moving to ST, a few questions
Actually, there is a small delay of up to 30 minutes before the news post appear. This is because of the caching system.

Yes, and I use it most nights before I go to bed so news posts are there early in the morning. You can set the time down to the second and it's all automatic - no cron or anything like that required.
So the current system does post automatically so that I can leave a few stories to be posted later and those would go live without the need of me doing anything?

Yes, this is no problem with a small code modification

Last but not least, does the current system supports (or plan to support) scheduled news posting? So that I could set a future time/date for a certain story and it wouldn't go live until then... could use a Cronjob for this kind of task.
Scheduled news posts are already supported by the news system

This is already supported by the bbwrapper module. Btw the status line on top (There are xx forum topics since your last visit) works also with vB. I just forgot on both features on my last post

I see, this sounds like a very interesting alternative although it would have been nice to integrate vB own system... in any case, do you know if it would be possible to make increments on vB's post count if a member replies to a news comment?

You find the comments template modification to get the additional information from vB (userposts etc) in this (german) thread: http://www.esselbach.com/thread143-1.html (second post)
Let me know if you need help with this modification

Regarding the second question, this looks like vB integration to me, is this custom scripting done by this site alone?

The news import thing would be great, thanks.
Regarding the second question, this looks like vB integration to me, is this custom scripting done by this site alone? http://www.hardwareluxx.de/story.php?id=683
Would you say this is difficult to make?

I am afraid, this is not supported.
The bbwrapper script supports:
1) A shared user database. Storyteller will use the forum user database for the front end.
2) User registration
3) Last 10 forum topics as part of the headlines or XML newsfeed.

Hi Philipp,
I have finally decided to move to StoryTeller, although under ideal conditions I would move my whole site (www.techspot.com) to it I still have to test the system capabilities and how well it will fit my needs, I must congratulate you however for the great work you've put into it and the continued efforts to improve your product, that was critical for me to decide whether I should even try StoryTeller.
I just uploaded ST's files and configured the database for it on my server. I have a few preliminary questions... I plan to move my site to a complete CMS solution (in this case yours), but I plan to do it progressively and in a certain order, first the news/comments and main categories of the site, then the rest of the content/articles.
My current setup for the news is a vBulletin hack that pulls the information from vB's database and formats it accordingly. I was wondering if there was a way to import this information into Esselbach?
I was also wondering what kind of integration should I expect from the vBulletin wrapper? This is an example of a page displaying a single news topic: http://www.techspot.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=14166
This is nothing but a vB forum page with its template edited to fit my site's layout, my plan is to create similar looking pages with StoryTeller on the backend, can the vBulletin integration module be used so that comments still belong to a vBulletin thread?
