Member Referrals?

With any website it is always good to have something which allows current members to invite their friends.

No one usually does this unless there is some sort of reward.

Could you please add this feature to the CMS?

I have two ideas:

1. A current member could refer a new member. They can do this with a referral URL. ie:

signup.php?referrer=membername

Once the new member has joined, the referrer will get (say) points, which is displayed in their profile/signature.

2. As above, but the referrer would get a new "rank". ie:

Lazy Referrer (0 points)
Apprentice Referrer (After 10 Referrals)
Good Referrer (After 50 Referrals)
Mass Referrer (After 100 Referrals)
Professor of Referrals (After 200 Referrals)
Referal Machine (After 500 Referrals)

The site admin could see who is referring who, and offer rewards incentives to members that reach certain ranks.

This would not only be good for StoryTeller users, but it would be an extremely good move for Esselbach.com - because awareness for the software would grow much faster.
