I created some test campaigns but they are not showing in frontend.
Are there any suggestions?
I tried with simple text and html.

Two important things:

1) The ad will only appear if the keyword of the news story will match one or more keywords of the advertisement.

2) It is also important to set a number of impressions

Advertisements on news story?

You need to enable the option "Advertisements on news story?" under News Preferences. The advertisements will appear on the news detail pages.
