They are on the same domain.
They have separate directories so XF is /forum and CT is /library
Yes I added the globalSalt number when I installed.

This is a cookie issue. Are both installations (XenForo + Contentteller) are running on the same (sub)domain? Have you added the XenForo globalSalt under Manage Forum Integration?
The login/ register block displays even though I am logged in in XF forum
To take full advantage of all features you need to login or register. Registration is completely free and takes only a few seconds.
This doesn't make sense if I am alrerady logged in.
Also it's taking up valuable central space.
I will be looking at how to put the login link up on the navigation bar out the way on the right - later.
But it still needs to respond to my login on XF - should really display as LOGOUT once I login.
