How's 2.0 coming?
The new caching system is only included in 2.0. However, you notice the slighly better loading speed only in benchmarks under heavy load, after 1.x is already pretty fast .

Sounds good! Will the page loading speed increase only come in with version 2.0 or has this been tweaked a bit with the next two updates?

How's 2.0 coming?
I am afraid 2.0 is still months away. Mainly because the 2.0 codebase is complex and needs alot of testing.
More background info:
The main focus of the 2.0 release (beside code cleaning) is to handle high traffic websites with 2 million pageviews/day and higher. The current limitation is the MySQL database server, which have problems to cope with traffic in the 1 million pageviews/day range. Storyteller 2.0 will still support MySQL (if necessary), but it is no longer the prefered database solution.
What's next:
There are two major 1.x releases planned for the next 2 months. Both will include backports from the 2.0 branch. The multiple templates feature will be most likely included in the december release.

How's 2.0 coming?
OK, thanks for the heads up. I wanted to get started sooner, but I'm sure it will be worth the way. I will continue to wait. Just make sure it supports multiple templates for a single site as that's the feature I'm holding out for.
Thanks for the update.

How's 2.0 coming?
Slowly, because 2.0 is a pretty big project and complete different codebase. The new codebase is using an OO syntax and looks much cleaner
I would say the release is still 2 months away.

I'm still waiting. In the mean time I've checked out some other CMS but they don't feature what I need. Any idea how close (far?) 2.0 is away? I can keep looking at other CMS, but I really like the admin setup of esselbach and am hoping to be able to use 2.0
Any idea if we are still months away from release?
Thanks for any info you can share.
