Enable security code for comments?

I have this enabled in the new preferences, but don't know how to set this up in the php GD library. Does anyone have any pointers to make this security feature work?

What if I found some code that disables the Godaddy advertisements?

It will not work on your GoDaddy account because of the automatically injected advertisement code.
