It just don't work. The installer tried to change these values for website 1, but this is a global setting (website 0). I fixed this problem for the next version.

Fixed. The header for html emails had the wrong content-type (html instead of text/html)

You're right, I missed filling out those values.
Now all that leaves is the HTML problems I suppose.

Did you set a default username / email address? This are the first two options in Users Preferences.

Sending newsletter titled test 3 as HTML creates an attached file called test3 without any extension apparently. I saved it from Outlook Express and it got saved with the extension dat. I opened it in Notepad and the html content was inside it.
Also the sender is "unknown".
