Editing existing images

Hello

We have a massive database of images on our website and many are interlinked to lots of articles - these images need editing. How do I get at these images to update them?

Uploading fresh images is simply not an option due to the massive amount of times the images have been used on different pages etc.

Not sure what you mean, but I need to edit white backgrounds out etc.
