Thanks for the info Philpp, that obviously comes handy for preparing for an eventual upgrade.
Can you shortly elaborate on what are the advantages of newer versions of MySQL from the perspective of a ContentTeller Pro admin?
Performance I assume, anything else in terms of features?

The first preview release of Contentteller Pro 1.0 (formerly known as Storyteller/Contentteller 2.0) is now available in the member area as free download for all registered users. See also the previous announcement.
Warning: This is an experimental test release for evaluation and testing purpose only. There are most likely a lot of bugs in it after Contentteller Pro is a huge script. Do not use it in a production environment. This release is also encoded and will automatically expire on 8th Feburary 2008.

Main
Here can you configure some main settings including websites, blockcode, smilies, message icons, advertisements, and automated tasks.
Content
The content module for pages and forms.
Users
A module to manage Contentteller user accounts.
Templates
With this module you can change the appearance of your website
Blocks
A module for the left and right site block
File Types
Here you can set the file types for uploads
Stats
A web statistic module
News
A module to manage your web news or blog
Import
A news import module. Automatically import news from RSS, Newsgroup, or email (for example: news @ yoursite)
Contact
Here you can manage and track your news contacts or affiliate sites
Mailing Lists
A mailing lists module
Articles
A module for articles and reviews
Knowledgebase
A knowledge base / FAQ module
Tickets
A trouble ticket system

A module to manage your files/downloads

This version comes also with extended bulletin board integration that allows your visitors to post comments on the message forum. However, only the vBulletin 3 uwrapper is supporting this feature right now. Other forums will follow in one of the next releases
Other modules that are missing in this release are the import system for other CMS’ like Storyteller 1.8 and a few other smaller things.
Available versions
Contentteller Pro 1.0 Preview is available in two versions:
1) ionCube Version
This version will work on system with activated enabled_dl option or preinstalled ionCube loader. The installer should automatically detect the proper setting on a Linux based server.
2) Zend Version
This version requires Zend Optimizer 3.0 or higher installed on your web server.
Later beta releases will be provided as visible source and will no longer require Zend/ionCube.
Bug reporting
If you find a bug or another problem please report it in the Contentteller Bugs forum. Please post for each new bug or problem a new topic.
Upgrading from Storyteller or Contentteller Test 1
Only fresh installs are support by this build. Later builds will comes with an upgrade script to upgrade from any previous Contentteller build to the current one. An upgrade from Storyteller could be done with the CMS import system, which will be included in one of the next releases as well.
Next release
Contentteller Pro 1.0 Preview 2 will follow in a few days or 1-2 weeks. That mainly depends on the found bugs.
