Yes, that worked.
But I enabled the module, did the import (which took a good 10 minutes), but when I click the link from the front end, the page is *still* blank.

Ok, good to know.

I don't see an option for this.
You need to add the compatdb.org module under users => admin permissions

I have no need for any of that.
Nearly all modules can be completely removed. In case of the compatdb module you just need to delete /cadmin/compatdb and /modules/compatdb. Only the templates will remain.

I don't see an option to do this either. I must be missing it..
And this is a moot point if I could just turn it all off...

Looks like there is a typo in the sitemap script itself. The easiest workaround until the next release is to deactivating the compatdb module before running the sitemap script

What is this ntcompat database I see it uploading during the install? Why do I want that?
Most recent versions of the LGPL’ed parts of NT/Linux/Mac OS Compatible compatibility database ships with the compatdb module after some server may have timeout problems getting the data directly from the compatdb mirror. This data will be stored in /cadmin/compatdb/xmldata.
The compatdb module is a way to get additional content for your visitors. For example if your run a Linux website you can choose that you like to import the Linux database, so you can offer your visitors a compatibility database. The interesting thing is that the entire data can be used free of charge. Your visitors can even submit results back to the compatdb server without leaving your site.
I have no need for any of that.
Also, when I click the link for Compatibility Lists from my main menu, no new content is displayed, just the normal headers and footers of the site.
You need to import the data with the "Import now" option from the xml files to the database.

Running preview 4, click Build site map in the admin CP.
