Articles for which access is set to "subscribers only", "registered users only", "admin users only" or "password protected page", it doesn't appear in the articles list. This is a bad design idea, or a bug: such articles need to be visible but not fully accesible. Like this:
Don't know to embed the images, but I think you'll get what I mean.

I will try to implement an optional preview feature for subscribers and registered users in the next major release.
